We offer services from decorative painting, colour consultations, painting and repairs.
The Process:
Step 1. Call or e-mail us to arrange for your free consultation. During this first contact we will request information about your project so we can prepare the appropriate reference materials for your consultation. We then arrange a meeting time in your home.
Step 2. The meeting takes place in your home so we can assess the space and size of the project. It helps us to see what preparation work is necessary to ready the surface for painting. We will discuss your project and any ideas that you may have and any initial ideas we may have for the project. To better serve you, it is appropriate to bring up any budget concerns you may have. This will allow us to consider this for our quote and prepare design options so you will get the most impact for your money. We will not offer you a quote on the spot because we are too focused on the design aspects of the project.
Step 3. We will contact you within a few days with a quote. Depending on the size of the project, we will itemize the quote. If you are budget conscious you have the option of choosing from the services that you would like and of either doing some work yourself (we can give you instructions) or finding a contractor.
Step 4. You contact us to discuss the quote and what services you would like. We then arrange a time to complete your project.
List of services and fees
Murals & Trompe L'Oeil
For a mural or a trompe l'oeil you will receive your initial free consultation plus one additional consultation to go over our designs for your project. Upon approval of the quote, we require a 25% non-refundable deposit to cover for design time. Additional meetings plus drawings and design time are charged at a rate of $65/hr.
The cost of your mural or trompe l'oeil depends on several factors; size, amount of detail, design involved and cost of material. If you are budget conscious it is very helpful to know before we begin the quote process so we can consider lowering the amount of details while still achieving the desired look within the budget. As well, the more thought you have put into what you want and are able, with our help, to convey your idea will translate into less design time and meeting time resulting in lower costs to you.
Faux Finishes & Specialty Finishes
Whether you would like a traditional or a custom finish we can help you achieve the look you want. We help you choose colours and faux or specialty finishes. We have a large variety of reference materials to help you find your own style.
We can provide you with large 2-foot by 3-foot samples for you to live with and decide upon for a fee of $50 per sample. If you choose to go ahead with your project, the price of the sample is refunded on your final invoice.
Painting
We offer high-end residential painting services. Our painting is of the highest quality. We will come to your home and assess the project then send you a quote for the required services. We always use the highest quality water-based paints and materials available. Although we charge more than some others, we take the time to ensure the job is done right and will last for years.
Colour Consultations
Whether you need help choosing a colour for a room or a whole house, we will help select colours that reflect your decor, your lifestyle and your personality.
We approach colour consultations personally. Think about this: your favourite sweater makes you look and feel great, and the other one the same style in a colour you think you like sits in the closet. Certain colours flatter your skin tones and others do not. Colours can make you feel agitated or calm, and it differs from person to person. We help make sense of this and help select colours to reflect your family and lifestyle and take into account the trends of the day because all of these factors reflect on your home and your needs.
We can also help you find that special colour that isn't at the paint store. Because we are artists first, we can mix any colour you choose, even if the colour is from a piece of fabric you love or the apple you had for a snack.
Colour consultation fees: $65/hr plus $15 per colour selected.
If you choose our painting or faux finishing services, your colour consultation fee will be deducted from your final invoice.
Repairs
If you would like to complete your project without the need to call in a handyman or contractor, we are equipped to deal with many home repairs. From repairing holes in drywall, removing wallpaper, caulking in the kitchen or bath, or installing the new light fixture at the end of the project, we can save time and the hassle of looking for additional help to complete your project. The price for these services will be included on your quote.
